Necessity is the mother of invention

  • Without necessity, I wouldn’t have started my small business.
  • Is my small business not taking off quickly because I don’t have the fire one has living paycheck to paycheck or being unemployed?
  • Because I don’t necessarily have to pay the bills with my business, I have the luxury of living without pressure to put food on the table, or pay rent.
  • Do I even want this business that badly?
  • If my husband and I are planning on having a baby, I should be saving for one. So why does the burn to build my business sometimes feel like dying embers rather than a roaring flame?
  • Having debt is stressful, but I guess it’s all just made-up numbers on a screen.

What comes to mind when I read the word “clean”.

I’ve been starting my days cleaning the house. Whether I have a ton of work to do or errands to run, cleaning seems to take precedence. I realize that there will always be a dish to wash or a sock to darn, but cleaning helps me clear my mind and eliminate visual distractions. Call it self-care, but my early tidy sessions have become a part of my morning routine.
